Students inducted into Penn State Altoona’s communications honor society

ALTOONA, Pa. — Three Penn State Altoona communications majors were inducted into Lambda Pi Eta, the National Communication Association’s official honor society, during a ceremony on April 25.

Talon McKendree, Jadie Pensyl and McKenzie Quirin satisfied the requirements for induction, including at 3.25 GPA for communications courses.

The keynote speaker was Madison Eisaman, immediate past president of Lambda Pi Eta’s local chapter and a summa cum laude graduate of Penn State Altoona’s Communications program in 2023. Eve Ergler, current chapter president, led the induction ceremonies along with faculty adviser Robert Trumpbour.

The National Communication Association is based in Washington, D.C. Its honor society has more than 500 chapters at colleges and universities nationwide.
