UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The J. Jeffrey and Ann Marie Fox Graduate School at Penn State and Penn State Global announce that applications for graduate student international travel grants for the fall 2024 semester is open until Sept. 30. Students will be informed of a decision on their application by mid-November. Awards are usable for conferences taking place through August 2025.

The application is available on Penn State’s Infoready website.

The purpose of the graduate student international travel grant program is to assist students present their scholarly work at conferences outside of the United States. Graduate student travel grants help support Penn State’s global leadership in scholarship and international engagement.

Graduate students from any Penn State campus, including World Campus, are eligible for these grants. International graduate students are encouraged to apply.

Awards are contingent upon the availability of funds and the number of applications received. Applicants are strongly encouraged to seek additional funding sources, including matching funds from their campus, college or department, or external funding.

Applicants must be currently registered Penn State graduate students in good academic standing.

The application requires:

  • A summary of the research and its impact
  • An explanation of why it is important for the applicant to present their work at the conference
  • A letter of support from someone familiar with the student’s research
