UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — As part of its Sustainability Showcase series, Penn State Sustainability will welcome award-winning photographer, author and Penn State alumnus Tim Palmer to University Park on Sept. 18. Continuing a legacy of conversations on conservation, resilience and the environment, Palmer will lead a public talk and book signing at noon at Foster Auditorium in Paterno Library and online to discuss his latest book, "Seek Higher Ground: The Natural Solution to Our Flooding Crisis."
“We consistently work to highlight the research and action steps taken by leaders in the sustainability space,” said Grant Rowe, public programming coordinator for Penn State Sustainability. “Tim Palmer has spent his career dedicated to the environment. We are delighted to not only share his knowledge with the Penn State community, but to offer a platform to an alumnus of the University.”
