Call for 2024-2026 Teaching and Learning Technologies Faculty Advisory Committee

The Teaching and Learning Technologies Faculty Advisory Committee recommends topical focus areas for events including the annual TLT Symposium. UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State’s Teaching and Learning with Technology (TLT) is accepting self-nominations through April 18 for the 2024-2026 Teaching and Learning Technologies Faculty Advisory Committee. This committee plays a pivotal role in guiding TLT on integrating technology into teaching and learning at Penn State.

TLT Faculty Advisory Committee members will:

  • Engage regularly with other faculty leaders who interact with TLT.
  • Guide teaching and learning decisions related to technology at Penn State.
  • Recommend topical focus areas for existing programs, events and strategic directions.
  • Advocate for teaching, learning, technology and innovation with colleagues and discipline areas.

The committee meets at least three times per semester, with additional meetings as needed. Members are expected to actively participate and communicate regularly with their designated constituency. Additionally, members are expected to interact asynchronously with their advisory committee colleagues  to exchange feedback and discuss timely topics.

"We recognize the indispensable role of faculty input in shaping the future of teaching and learning technologies to increase student engagement and enhance student success," said Amy Kuntz, instructional designer with TLT. “By inviting faculty self-nominations for this advisory committee, the aim is to continue to have a diverse perspective of faculty who will have the opportunity to collaborate, innovate and lead the way in providing a transformational student experience for our students.”

Faculty who are passionate about embracing and implementing technology into their teaching practices as well as exploring new pedagogical approaches are encouraged to apply. Current committee members and representatives from TLT will make final selections and notify new members by early May. Appointed members will serve staggered two-year terms to ensure continuity and a fresh influx of ideas.

Those with questions or seeking more information may contact Amy Kuntz at aer13@psu.edu.
