Parking, traffic and transit information for the Luke Combs Concert, April 27

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Luke Combs will be performing at Beaver Stadium on Saturday, April 27 at 5:45 p.m. 

Concert parking information

Football parking areas near Beaver Stadium (between Bigler Road and Mount Nittany Medical Center) being used for this event are managed by Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics and require a permit. Additional on-campus parking for the Luke Combs concert will be available through Penn State Transportation Services at the following locations:

East, HUB, Nittany, West Decks:  

  • $40 

  • $1 per hour for first two hours parked 

  • Payable by credit card before exiting at pay-on-foot stations 

Eisenhower Deck: 

  • $40  

  • Cash only paid upon entry  

Tailgating is strictly prohibited at campus parking decks.

Weekend visitor parking

Fans planning to arrive before Saturday must park at the East, HUB, Nittany, or West parking decks. Standard hourly rates apply for parking prior to Saturday.

Parking closures/faculty, staff and student parking access

The following campus parking lots will close at midnight Friday night in advance of the concert:   

  • Commuter lots (Jordan East, Stadium West, Porter North, Porter South) 

  • Orange L (all sections) 

  • Yellow H (all sections) 

  • Yellow V 

  • Orange A OPP (east and west) 

  • Orange A Katz 

  • Orange H (all sections north of Hastings Road) 

  • Orange O (ICA Service Center/Meats Lab) 

In addition to these areas, the east half of Lot Orange U located just east of USB I and II will also be reserved beginning at midnight Friday night.

All vehicles, including department vehicles, must be removed from these areas no later than midnight Friday night. Access to these areas will reopen after outbound concert traffic has ended.

During the Luke Combs concert, faculty/staff parking permits are honored at all faculty/staff parking lots located west of Bigler Road, and student parking permits are honored at all areas located west of Bigler Road that normally allow student parking on weekends (see the lots highlighted in yellow with the E/W symbol on the student parking interactive map.

For a more convenient exit from campus after the concert and to provide greater capacity for visitors at the parking decks, faculty/staff and student permit holders are encouraged to use surface parking areas instead of parking decks on Saturday.

Traffic restrictions

Curtin Road will be closed between University Drive and Porter Road from Sunday, April 21 through the end of the concert. Porter Road will be closed between Curtin Road to Park Avenue starting at 11:30 a.m. Saturday. 

Traffic will be very heavy on campus throughout the day Saturday, and drivers are urged to use caution and allow extra time to reach their destination. 

Transit service adjustments

CATA's services will operate during the Luke Combs concert, but with the following adjustments to service:   

Blue Loop – from the bus stop at Pattee Library, the Blue Loop will turn right on Bigler Road, right on Pollock Road and resume normal routing until College Avenue and Allen Street and make a right on Burrowes Road where it will resume normal routing. 

White Loop – from the bus stop at the Meridian, the White Loop will follow normal routing to University Drive where it will turn left on Hastings Road, right on Bigler Road, and left on Curtin Road where it will resume normal routing. 

The Lot 83 stop will not be serviced. 

Red Link – from West Campus toward Medlar Field the Red Link will follow normal routing to Curtin Road where it will turn right on Bigler Road, left onto Hastings Road, left onto University Drive, left onto Curtin Road where it will resume normal routing.

H Route – 

  • Heading outbound to Toftrees from Pattee Library, the H Route will turn right on Bigler Road, right on Pollock Road, left on Shortlidge Road, right on College Avenue, right on South Atherton Street, and right on Woodycrest Street.  

  • The trips not servicing the Village at Penn State will follow routing to The View, turn left on Toftrees Avenue, and then continue to the detour listed above. 

  • Heading inbound from Trader Joe’s, the H Route will follow normal inbound routing to the Village at Penn State, and then it will continue around Lion Hill Road, turn left on Presidents Drive, turn left on Toftrees Avenue, turn left on Waddle Road, turn right on Colonnade Boulevard, turn left on North Atherton Street, and turn left on Curtin Road.  

  • The trips not servicing the Village at Penn State heading inbound to campus will follow normal routing to The View, turn left on Toftrees Avenue, and then continue to follow the detour listed above.  

NV Route – heading inbound, after servicing The View, the NV Route will turn left on Toftrees Avenue, turn left on Waddle Road, turn left on I-99 North, continue onto 322 East to College Avenue, turn right on College Avenue where it will resume normal routing.
